Secret Block Barossa Valley Shiraz
Wine
Two Hands Wines Secret Block Barossa Valley Shiraz is drawn from a small, mature vineyard high in the western Barossa ranges. Just one small parcel of fruit is selected for this wine.
The grapes are crushed, destemmed and open fermented. After two weeks on skins, the free run juice and pressings are blended in tank and settled for 24 hours.
The wine is then racked off gross lees to French oak hogsheads and puncheons, 1-6 years old. Here it sees malolactic fermentation and around 18 months of maturation.
Deep garnet, Two Hands Wines Secret Block Barossa Valley Shiraz has soft, spicy dark berry flavours, silky tannins and a long finish. Cellaring potential is 15 years.
